Note: In case of any discrepancy between this English version and the German version (Nutzungsbedingungen), the German version shall prevail.

§ 1 Scope

These Terms of Use apply to all users of the Perrenix app and website, operated by Fabian Paulik, Nikolaus-Lenau-Str. 14, 85757 Karlsfeld, Germany. By registering, you accept these terms.

§ 2 Service description

Perrenix is a platform for personal self-reflection and building a digital legacy. The service includes:

Daily reflection questions and free-text journaling
Storage of texts, photos, and documents
AI-powered companion (Google Gemini AI)
Health profile with optional consent
Ancestry research with document upload
Legacy function with inactivity unlock
AI persona based on your reflections
Optional two-factor authentication

§ 3 Registration and account

(1) Use requires an account with an email address and password.

(2) You are obliged to provide accurate information and to keep your password confidential.

(3) Sharing the account with third parties is not permitted.

(4) The operator reserves the right to block accounts in case of misuse.

§ 4 Free use and future subscriptions

(1) Perrenix is currently free to use.

(2) Future premium features may be offered as a paid subscription. Existing free features will remain available.

(3) You will be informed of any price changes at least 4 weeks in advance.

§ 5 User obligations

You undertake not to store any content that is unlawful, offensive, discriminatory, or glorifies violence, that infringes the rights of third parties, or that contains malicious software. The operator is entitled to remove such content and block the account.

§ 6 Liability — Legacy function and inactivity unlock

Important: The following provisions concern the legacy function.

(1) Perrenix is expressly not a will and not an instrument for regulating inheritance matters. For legally valid dispositions, please consult a notary.

(2) The automatic unlock upon inactivity is carried out to the best of our technical ability, but without guarantee. The operator is not liable for technical malfunctions.

(3) The user can deactivate the unlock at any time. If the unlock is deactivated, data will never be released automatically.

(4) The operator does not check user-created content for accuracy or legal validity.

§ 7 Availability and liability

(1) The operator strives for high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access.

(2) The operator is liable for data loss caused by technical malfunctions or force majeure only in cases of gross negligence or intent.

(3) Liability for ordinary negligence is limited to damages affecting material contractual obligations.

§ 8 Termination and data deletion

(1) You can delete your account at any time via the in-app settings. All data will be irrevocably removed within 30 days.

(2) The operator may terminate extraordinarily in the event of a serious breach of these terms.

§ 9 Changes to the terms

Changes will be communicated by email with at least 4 weeks' notice. If you do not object within 4 weeks, the new terms shall be deemed accepted.

§ 10 Applicable law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. For consumers, the statutory place of jurisdiction remains unaffected.

§ 11 Severability clause

Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
